Could you do with a bachelor-level student assistant for your violence and conflict-related research? The Research Priority Area (RPA) Conflict and Society facilitates bachelor student research assistance on projects of FMG researchers. We offer 10 x €1000 / year for bachelor student research assistants for about 53 hours of work (€19 per hour) per student.

The RPA Conflict and Society facilitates bachelor student fellowships. Fellowships connect students and researchers who are interested in conflict and violence. Bachelor student fellowships consist of research assistant positions on research projects on conflict and violence.

Requirements

Research assistance is open to all bachelor students from the FMG 2nd year and up. The requirements for the RA work are project-specific, and up to the project leaders (e.g. experience with quantitative data, affinity with a region, language skills etc). All we need from you is a short project description (around 100-150 words).

Hiring a research assistant

For the second round of the RPA fellowship programme (September 2025), we are looking for researchers working on conflict that could do with a bachelor student RA. If you are interested in hiring an RA or have any questions, please send an e-mail to: edu-rpa-conflictsociety-fmg@uva.nl
